I have always been drawn to working in the field of mental wellbeing. I feel honored use my clinical skills to improve the mental/emotional wellbeing of my clients so that they can live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. My practice interest/specialties include: stress and anxiety in the workplace, family conflict, depression, grief, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. I have provided clinical services to diverse populations in various settings for over 15 years. I utilize curiosity, non-judgment, and compassion in my work. I am also a practitioner of mindfulness and meditation. |
Therapeutic ApproachesSolution Focused Therapy where we focus on solving the problem, not just talking about it.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy where we identify how thoughts and emotions influence behavior. We work together to improve those feelings by changing dysfunctional thought processes. Supportive Therapy where clients use their problem-solving skills to gain a better understanding of their situation and empower themselves. Education and Training Dinusha received her Doctorate and Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She completed her Clinical training at LAC+USC Medical Center, one of the premier academic teaching hospitals in the nation. Dinusha focuses her research on the use of mobile data for suicide prevention innovations. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#59914) practicing therapy in the State of California. |
