FAQ.

Are you accepting new Clients? 
I'm overbooked at the moment and can't accept new clients until Spring 2019. Send me a message at dinusha@dinushatherapy.com to learn about my future availability.

What are your therapy rates? 
Therapy session rates are $150 for a 50 minute session. 

What are your coaching rates? 
Coaching for Leader & Entrepreneurs is $200 for 75 minutes session with a 5 session minimum. 

Please note that after each coaching session, you will also receive a 1 to 4-page follow-up document, prepared by me personally, outlining the major points and insights of our coaching conversation, as well as resources for your further professional and personal growth. You can use this material for your individual work throughout the rest of the week.

My job is to be a guide and a reliable partner on your side, therefore all packages include a full email and text message support in between the sessions.


What is online therapy? Online therapy is the practice of psychotherapy offered via video or audio communications. For video sessions, I use a video-conferencing program called "Zoom" which is easy to use and is available for all types of computers. It is widely known as e-therapy, distance therapy, Internet therapy, online counseling, and web therapy.  The platform uses secure HIPPA compliant technology during sessions to ensure patient confidentially.

​Do you provide services outside of California? Therapists are licensed on a state-by-state basis, and as I am licensed in California,  clients must reside here. Coaching session are available nationally.

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, however, most PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of our services out-of-network. I will provide you with a receipt that includes all the information needed to submit a claim to your insurance company. For information about reimbursement rates, contact your insurance provider.
What are the differences between therapy and coaching Sessions?
Therapists and coaches create a safe conversational space where you can express your feelings, share your challenges, and work out a plan for your future. They don't judge and they don't make decisions for you. They provide support, accountability, and encouragement to help you achieve both your short-term goals and long-term visions. 

As a  therapist a formal diagnosis may be considered and treatment plan is created. In therapy work together to find the roots of what is challenging you in order to help you heal. 


What do coaching sessions look like?
During our initial meetings, we will discuss your goals and areas of your life you wish to improve. Based on that, we will define strategies and action plans for you to start developing new habits, adopting new behaviors, and making the first tangible changes.

Each session should then begin with the review of your progress and finish with a specific plan for the following week.

​I would like to note here that no one's life story is linear, and neither is the coaching process of a specific individual. You may come to me with one goal and we will end up revealing a totally new one, which you will choose to pursue instead. My objective is not to bring you solely from point A to point B in your life but to transform the way how you yourself work with your own mind, your strengths, weaknesses, skills, needs, and even your body.


Do you offer a sliding  scale?
I want good therapy to be accessible. If you need a break, I’ll give it to you. I am glad to offer sliding scale services to those who are not able to afford a full fee at $100 (50 mins).
